Michael Margulis is a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Engineering of Bar-Ilan University. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Life Sciences and an M.Sc. degree in Microbiology, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Michael has extensive experience in the development of methods for the rapid detection of microorganisms in aqueous environments. His Ph.D. research focuses on the detection of specific nucleic acid fragments using fluorescence-based methods. Michael’s primary research interest includes the development of fast and highly sensitive molecular assays for the clinical diagnosis of diseases caused by bacterial and viral human pathogens, such as SARS-CoV-2.
