Shira Roth is a Ph.D. graduate student at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. In 2012, Mrs. Roth received her M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology Engineering, summa cum laude, from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. After completing her M.Sc. studies, she worked in the research and development department at Perrigo API as a pilot development engineer for two years. Currently, Mrs. Roth conducts her research in the Optical Imaging and Biosensing Laboratory in the Faculty of Engineering and The Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, under the supervision of Dr. Amos Danielli. Mrs. Roth develops methods for rapid detection of protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. Recently, she won the prestige three-year scholarship of Israel Ministry of Science and an Excellence award for her Ph.D. research from the Israel Society for Medical and Biological Engineering (ISMBE).
