Dr. Meir Cohen, PhD

Dr. Meir Cohen is Research Scientist at the Faculty of Engineering in Bar Ilan University, Israel. In 1991, Dr. Cohen received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from the Technion, Haifa. In 1995 and 2002, he received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Bar Ilan University. His master's dissertation deals with the early detection of cancer and his doctoral dissertation has applied a unique method for measuring energy transfer efficiency. In 2003-2008, Dr. Cohen worked as a researcher in two medical device companies and in 2008–2014, he managed a start-up company that developed a medical device for non-invasive blood measurements. Currently, in addition to his research work at the Optical Imaging and Biosensing Lab at Bar Ilan University, he works as an external lecturer at Lev Academic Institute, Shinker College and Sami Shimon College.
