Shmuel Burg

Shmuel Burg is a Ph.D. student at the Engineering Faculty of Bar-Ilan University, Israel. In 2004, he received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from Bar-Ilan University. In 2004-2010, Shmuel served as an academic officer in Israeli Navy and acquired scientific knowledge in the field of underwater acoustics and expertized in very important programming tools. In 2012, he received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from Bar-Ilan University. Since 2016, Mr. Burg conducts his research in the Optical Imaging and Biosensing Laboratory in the Faculty of Engineering and The Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, under the supervision of Prof. Amos Danielli. His current research is focused on the development of a high throughput optical modulated biosensing (OMB) system for rapid and sensitive detection of biomarkers targets at very low concentrations.
