Sophie Terenteva

Ph.D. Student

Sophie Terenteva is a Ph.D. student in the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. She received her B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Bar-Ilan University in 2022. Since 2022, she has been conducting research in the Optical Imaging and Biosensing Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Amos Danielli. In 2025, as part of this work, she completed her M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a thesis titled “Evaluating Highly Sensitive Diagnostic Assays for Dengue and West Nile Viruses Using Optical Modulation Biosensing.” Her current Ph.D. research continues this work and focuses on reducing cross-reactivity among Dengue virus serotypes and other Flaviviruses using advanced biosensing techniques.
